There are several types of growth facilities with various settings and technical possibilities, considering temperature, humidity,
light, etc (see below). For example, here you can see the comparison of the photosynthetic photon flux density between four facilities: Download

Employes of Biology centre may book the facility by clicking on the Green button . Nevertheless, check the Occupancy calendar to not
collide with another reservation! If the facility is long-termly used by another user, it is either occupied or the space can be shared under
specific conditions. If you want to share the facility, contact the technician.
The walk-in growth chamber provides users with a controlled environment (temperature range: +10 to 40 ℃, humidity: 40 to 80%).
The chamber contains isolated cultivation units, which can be set independently for a different light or temperature program.
However, it is not possible to adjust the humidity of each unit (see below). Therefore, any significant difference between chamber
and unit temperature can cause water condensation (lower than ambient) or drought stress in the unit (higher than ambient).

Greenhouses are suitable for in-soil experiments. However, refrigerated units in inner greenhouses are purposed to be used for a
reduction of ventilation and the risk of GMO leak, as well as for limitation extreme temperatures in the greenhouse in the summer
months, not for air-conditioning. For experiments with plants in precisely regulated temperature conditions are used Reach-in
growth chambers or PSI Walk-in chamber.
